<p>Piedmont is certainly an area where traditional values are jealously kept and innovation is generally greeted with austerity and mistrust. Angelo Gaja, thanks to his tenacity and his courage has done his Barbaresco wines of international fame and appreciation. He was the first to dare to innovate, this wine (60s), with techniques ranging dizzy after killing of production per hectare (for a higher quality), the inspection of tempertura fermentation, the use of long corks, and aging in barrique. <p>The Gaja family in 1988 bought twelve hectares of vines in one of the best locations in Serralunga (area of Barolo). And I call Sperss the property and the vineyard. For a long time Serralunga Barolo produced tough, aggressive, but a great personality and structure; wines were held in high regard by knowledgeable traders in the Alba area, among the first burst Baroli wines of La Morra, Castiglione then those Fallet , and recently those of Monforte. The future is now ready to smile even to wines from Serralunga. Appellation: Langhe Nebbiolo DOC Grapes: 94% Nebbiolo, 6% Barbera Vineyard: Sperss, in Serralunga d&#8217;Alba, Barolo area fermentation and maceration in steel for about 3 weeks to 12 months maturation in French oak barrels and 12 months in casks in the traditional wine There is a remarkable presence in the territory of Serralunga. A wine of great texture, austere, with an excellent fruity components. The mouth shows the fullness of body and texture very thick. Has extraordinary ability in the long aging in bottle.</p>
